BACKGROUND
Parasitic infections are common in our population. Timely evaluation and diagnosis of the affected individual is important for treatment. Laboratory investigations are helpful to accomplish the task. Available methods for the identification of clinically important parasites will be discussed in the session. The session aims to provide information about the laboratory diagnosis and clinical correlation of important parasites commonly encountered in lab.
