Health Information Material
Health information material provides information to patients to encourage participation in their healthcare. The Indus Hospital & Healthcare Network is constantly striving to improve healthcare indicators of the country by not only providing free and quality treatment but also by raising awareness.
The Health Education Material section houses educational resources for you and your family booklets, videos and leaflets about some pressing healthcare issues.
Palliative care is one of the most important parts of terminal illness care. It improves the quality of life for the patients and families facing challenges associated with life-threatening illness, whether physical, psychological, social, or spiritual.
The first video addresses the need to develop material to help health care workers and parent understand Compassion Fatigue and strategies to cope with it. The second video covers the topic of Breaking Bad News/SPIKES Protocol, with the focus point to bring out the proper protocol for breaking bad news.
The core purpose of the handbook is to create educational material for healthcare professionals. These are the first culturally sensitive material developed in the local language. The guide highlights the basic definition, principles, core values, team, pain assessment tools, myths and facts, benefits, and role of a nurse in palliative care. Moreover, it covers the activities and methods practiced at Indus Hospital and Health Network, along with the importance of communication in health care settings.
The project is a collaboration of the Indus Hospital & Health Network and My Child Matters – Sanofi Espoirs Foundation.
