Since August 2022, Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) has been present in flood-hit districts across the country, providing immediate healthcare facilities to thousands of helpless victims. The health catastrophe caused by the floods, however, is only amplified due to the severely damaged health infrastructure, which will take years to rebuild. As such, IHHN has been developing innovative, sustainable solutions in order to reach the most far-flung areas and help save as many lives as possible.
Following this nationwide devastation, IHHN and Total PARCO have collaborated to provide life-saving care in an innovative Mobile Medical Unit. Set in a state-of-the-art bus, the Mobile Medical Unit provides emergency medical services to flood victims across Sindh and Balochistan. Apart from offering primary healthcare through a robust team of doctors and community workers, the Mobile Medical Unit also houses a lab and pharmacy with essential medical supplies. By donating towards the Medical Equipment of this initiative, Total PARCO has displayed the utmost commitment to Pakistan’s most vulnerable communities.
This landmark collaboration between IHHN and Total PARCO was recognized at an Inauguration Ceremony held at the Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus, Karachi, on Tuesday, 24 January 2023. The senior leadership of Total PARCO was in attendance, including Mr. Mehmet Celepoglu, CEO, Mr. Abdul Sami Khan (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), and Ms. Sabeen Khalid, Manager Sustainable Development. From IHHN, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President, Dr. Zafar Zaidi, CEO, and Syed Mashhood Rizvi, Executive Director, Communication & Resource Development Directorate, along with other senior leadership, were in attendance.
As one of Pakistan’s most valuable socially responsible corporations, Total PARCO’s commitment to a better Pakistan resonates greatly with IHHN, and Indus is thrilled to once again partner with its long-term supporter, Total PARCO.
