On March 7, 2019, the Indus Health Network UK held a lunch meeting for Pakistani business community and donor organisations. The Pakistan High Commission for the UK graciously hosted the event. Dr Abdul Bari Khan, Chief Executive Officer, Indus Health Network and Nafees Zakaria, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to UK graced the occasion. Dr. Mateen Durrani, Chair, Board of Trustee (UK) introduced the CEO and the High Commissioner.
The event was well attended by prominent doctors, entrepreneurs, along with other esteemed guests. Dr Durrani welcomed the audience and reminded them of the importance of giving back to the society. Dr Bari described the context in which the Indus Health Network operates, its achievements, and challenges it is facing. Mr Zakaria concluded the discussion and appreciated IHN for its contribution to the Pakistani society.

The purpose of the UK Chapter is to create awareness amongst the expat Pakistanis, professionals and donor agencies to support the Indus Health Network and its cause to provide free-of-cost quality healthcare to the underserved community of Pakistan.
