Under the new partnership, students at Cedar College & School will be motivated to join IHHN’s cause and become campus ambassadors of IHHN’s Youth Program ‘Indus Yaqeen. Through Indus Yaqeen, students will host several awareness & fundraising events such as bake sales, carnivals, and sports matches. The students will also be given the opportunity to organize, conduct and participate in activities related to the promotion of health and education for the benefit of patients and staff at IHHN.
Both Organizations will make joint efforts to promote initiatives that aim to foster a sense of Social Responsibility through collaboration with the department of student affairs. Cedar also agreed to conduct blood drives in collaboration with IHHN to help deliver safe, quality blood to patients in need.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President of IHHN, and Roque Martin, Director, Cedar College’s Board of Directors, at Cedar College.
During his visit, Dr. Abdul Bari Khan was invited onto Cedar’s podcast, “Listen Up!” where he introduced Indus Hospital and Health Network’s vision, mission, and fifteen-year journey in which it evolved from a single hospital in Korangi, Karachi, to Pakistan’s largest healthcare network in the private sector. Currently, IHHN is serving over 500,000 patients every month with indiscriminate quality care, absolutely free.
Dr. Abdul Bari Khan also spoke about the recent partnership between Cedar College and IHHN and its expected impact and shared some valuable advice to students pursuing a career in healthcare.
Indus Hospital and Health Network would like to thank the entire team at Cedar College & School for graciously collaborating with IHHN to improve the health of countless underserved communities throughout Pakistan.
