The (Electronic Medical Record) EMR department at Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) hosted Medical Coder Day Event 2023 on May 15, 2023. The event was aimed at recognizing and appreciating the important work of medical coders who ensure the accurate coding and billing of medical services.
The event was attended by guest speakers, medical coders, and healthcare professionals who engaged in team-building activities. Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President of IHHN; Dr. Zafar Zaidi, CEO of IHHN; and other guest speakers gave motivational speeches, acknowledging the valuable contribution of medical coders in IHHN. Kafeel Naz Sajid, Manager, EMR, IHHN, also shared the journey and future goals of EMR through a presentation.
A highlight of the event was the presence of guest speaker Zahid Ali, a renowned digital health transformation and innovation thought leader. As the founder of TECHMEDO, Mr. Ali has led numerous digital transformation and innovation programs worldwide. With over two decades of experience as a CIO, CDO, CTO, and consultant, he shared his valuable insights on building strategies and implementing innovative technology solutions.
Mr. Ali is working with IHHN as a president office advisory member in digital health. His expertise and involvement with prestigious healthcare organizations, including Cleveland Clinics and HMISS, added depth and relevance to his suggestions for the future goals of EMR in Indus Hospital.
The successful event was attended by a diverse audience, and it highlighted the critical role that medical coders play in ensuring accurate coding and billing in the healthcare industry.
