St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital recognizes Indus Hospital’s efforts as part of Global Alliance

The Indus Hospital (TIH), Korangi Campus has always been dedicated toward providing the best Pediatric Cancer treatment. For its continuous work toward treating childhood Cancerand operating one of the biggest Pediatric Cancer units in the country, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has recognized the efforts of TIH as being one of the first “100 medical institutions” to join the St. Jude Global Alliance — in partnership to advance care for every child, everywhere.

The Indus Hospital started its Pediatric Oncology services in 2014 after merging with the Children Cancer Hospital. Since its inception, the 85-bed unit has benefited more than 10,500 children for cancer and blood diseases by providing free treatment.

In 2019, TIH partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to work toward a global effort to increase access to healthcare services and improve the quality of care to increase childhood Cancer survival in Pakistan. The Indus Hospital was awarded a certificate in recognition of this milestone and celebration of the partnership.

By being a member of the Global Alliance, TIH has collaborated with St. Jude in different research projects that have provided both onsite and online learning opportunities for The Indus Hospital’s faculty in brain tumors and retinoblastoma. TIH has also benefited by having its systems and medical records, critical care, and infection controls more streamlined to reflect international standards.
