The spirit of Giving – This Independence Day by students of Foundation Public School

Foundation Public school celebrates independence day with childhood cancer patients

This Independence Day, Indus Hospital and Health Network would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the students of Foundation Public School, who, in an inspiring display of generosity and compassion donated gifts and goodie bags to the valiant warriors in the pediatric oncology unit.

Smiles could be seen blooming on the children’s faces throughout the wards at the hospital. They unwrapped their gifts and opened goodie-bags with cupcakes, juices, friendship bands, the Pakistan flag and badges for them to wear.

It was a joyful experience for the children as well as the volunteers . They all got the chance to partake in the spirit of giving that marks our Independence day, and defines us as a nation. Indus Hospital is grateful to the students of Foundation Public School who recognize their power as the youth of the country. They set an example for everyone else by taking the initiative to positively impact someone else’s life.

Indus Hospital has collaborated with the Foundation Public School before on Eid and this past Independence Day in a joint attempt to help raise the spirits of its patients. In addition, it was with a feeling of pride and joy that we witnessed the latest batch of students from the school continue that tradition.
