The Indus Hospital & Health Network’s Physical Rehabilitation Center achieved another milestone and inaugurated a dedicated physiotherapy clinic for its pediatric patients on September 8, 2022 at IHHN’s Korangi Campus in Karachi. The clinic located at the Play Area in the Pediatric Ward will provide physiotherapy services to pediatric patients with cerebral palsy, neurological illnesses, musculo-skeletal injuries and other physical disabilities. It will also serve the patients who are being treated for cancer and orthopedic procedures.
The clinic was inaugurated by Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, CEO IHHN and Dr Amin Chinoy, Executive Director, Physical Rehabilitation Center. Speaking at the event Dr Amin Chinoy said, “The clinic aims to maximize recovery with the involvement of the child’s caretakers and is designed to promote the child’s mental and social well-being”.
As part of the inauguration event, World Physiotherapy Day was also celebrated to commemorate and highlight the contributions of physiotherapists in helping the patients to improve their mobility and physical wellness.

The Physical Therapy Department at IHHN’s Physical Rehabilitation Center is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation clinic equipped with a gymnasium, electrical modalities as well as adaptive equipment. It provides free physical therapy services which also includes Amputee Rehabilitation; Gynecologic and Obstetrics Rehabilitation; Pulmonary Rehabilitation; and Functional Electrical Stimulation services to the patients both in inpatient and outpatient service areas.
