Hasnain’s story is one of immense courage, determination, and hope. At only 14 years old, he faced a life-threatening diagnosis that could have crushed his spirit and extinguished his dreams. But instead, Hasnain rose to the challenge with a fighting spirit that inspired everyone around him.
Despite the difficult journey that lay ahead of him, Hasnain refused to give up. He found the strength to endure grueling chemotherapy sessions and overcome the pain and weakness that threatened to consume him. And through it all, he drew on the love and support of his family and friends, who never left his side and lifted him up when he felt like he couldn’t go on.
But it wasn’t just the people in his life who gave Hasnain the strength to keep going. It was also the caring and compassionate staffsu at Indus Hospital, who treated him like family and helped him find hope when he felt like all was lost. And thanks to the “Indus ke sitaray” program, Hasnain was able to continue his education and stay connected to the world outside the hospital walls, even as he fought for his life.
“Their love, encouragement, and presence have made all the difference in my journey with cancer.”
Now, as a cancer survivor , Hasnain is determined to pay it forward. He knows firsthand how lonely and isolating a cancer diagnosis can be, especially for young people who feel like they’re falling behind in life. But by offering one-on-one counseling and being a source of inspiration and support, Hasnain is helping others find the same strength and resilience that got him through his own journey.
Husnain’s message to sick children and their parents is to cherish the small moments and bring joy and happiness where they can. He also urges others to support Indus Hospital and donate generously. Since recovering from his illness, Husnain has devoted himself to volunteering at Indus Hospital and its events, including the Eid bazaar happening now, which he cherishes as a happy memory from his own treatment. Husnain is a true inspiration, spreading joy and hope to those around him.
Hasnain’s story is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope. His determination and fortitude inspire us all to keep fighting, to keep pushing forward, no matter what challenges we may face. And his dream of becoming a CSS officer and giving back to the community shows us that even in the face of adversity, we can always find a way to make a positive impact on the world.
“The only person we have is ourselves. Others may assist us along the way, but it is up to us to muster the inner strength required to fight our battles and emerge victorious.”
