A large community of golfers, including members from Pakistan’s leading corporations, came together to play Fast Cables-IHHN Golf Tournament 2023, presented by GFS, on February 19, 2023, at the Royal Palm Golf Club, Lahore.
The annual flagship event, aimed to raise funds for the newly built Indus Hospital & Health Network – QF, NST & SMP Campus in Jubilee Town, Lahore, has earned a significant commitment from the corporate sector and golfing community in Lahore to support the mission of Indus Hospital.
In 2021, the 600-bed state-of-the-art multi-disciplinary hospital was operationalized initially with 100 beds and out-patient services in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Day Care Services and Orthopedics. 82% of all patients visiting the Campus are Zakat eligible. As of January 2022, more than 50,000 patients have benefitted from various quality care absolutely free.
Syed Mashhood Rizvi, Executive Director, Communications & Resource Development Directorate, briefed about the 15 year journey of the Network and its achievements in making free and quality healthcare accessible to millions of people across Pakistan. He thanked the golfers and the supporters for their continued generosity. He presented the golfers IHHN’s new initiative of the Corporate Ambassadors Program and League of 100,000 Heroes. The CA program aims to create a community of corporate influencers who can play an important role in opening avenues for IHHN to establish a sustainable resource (from amongst their customer base and employees) that can give recurring donations of PKR 10,000 per month to save five lives.

Senior Leadership of IHHN including Mr. Abdul Karim Paracha, Chairman of the Board, Mr. S.M. Pervez, Director, Board of Directors, Mr. Abdul Hameed Paracha, Director, Board of Directors, Mrs. Saman Asif, IHHN Member and Dr. Tasman, CEO, IHHN-North, were also present at the occasion.

Pervaiz Ahmed, Executive Director, Communications & Resource Development Directorate – International acknowledged the support of Mr Shahjahan, Mr Shahid Abbasi and management and team of Royal Palm Golf Club for helping to organise a successful event. A total of 92 golfers played the game in a four-ball Texas Shamble format.
